When did you start looking into this? If you did a program at 2 years, how do you decide how many days? Montessori or traditional? Do classes fill up?

And for those in the Huntington/Dix Hills/East Northport areas, which would you recommend?

I have tons of time, just curious (plus I'm watching giuliana and bill Chat Icon)

Re: Preschools

The local libraries always have nursery school day where you can meet teachers from individual schools. Northport just had one 2 weeks ago. I think they also have one in November. Then I always just visited the school and got a feel for the class and the teachers. Northport Nursery school has a 2 yr mommy and me program. I looked into that when DS was 2 but the time didn't work for us. I liked that I would be with him and get to know the school and the teachers before just dropping him somewhere! I've used 3 different schools in Northport so if you have questions about a specific one FM me and I'll let you know if I we went there!

I started DS at 2 years old (he was actually 1 year 10.5 months when he started. He has an October birthday) he went 2 days for 2 hours. I wanted something for him because I was pregnant at the time and felt it would benefit him tremendously (and it did)
