We did IVF. When we were considering PGD (which we didn't end up doing), we were told that we could select which embryos to transfer, based upon sex, if we wanted to. We considered PGD because of my age, but we were told that there are many couples who elect to have PGD simply to choose the sex. You don't have to be famous or pay anyone off.
Regardless, Joe Francis is an imbecile.

Same. we looked into pgd but ultimately decided against it. We would've been able to choose the gender, if there were options. I don't buy his story.

He is a disgusting pig, and I do believe his story. There is a well known RE maybe 10 minutes away from where I live in Los Angeles, who is well known for doing IVF with PGD for gender selection. People travel from all over the world to go to him. Makes my skin crawl.
