Baptism giftS
Friends are having a baptism and a party afterwards at a small, not too fancy restaurant.
They have twins, so that's double the gift....
We used to give savings bonds but with the way you buy them now and the crappy interest, it's not really worth it.
Anyone have any other options? OR if we give cash... how much is enough? (remember everything TIMES TWO!)

I think it really depends on your budget and how close you are with the family.
I would say 50-100$ a child, depending on what makes you comfortable.

I'd probably give them a check for $150 and then buy each child a small gift. Maybe a cute cross for their room or something personalized?

I went to a party for twins and I gave the amount I would give for 1 plus a little extra and divided it by two. This was for a friend, so I think the relationship would have made a difference. If it was for a close friend or a family member I would have given the full amount to each.
For a Baptism, I would suggest cash. Since it is for twins, I would give $100-$150 for both.

Things Remembered has a cute set for baby's first curl and first tooth. You could get something like that with the babies' names engraved.

either cash 50-75 each kid is more than enough
of a picture frame or album for each kid engraved from things to be remembered. - the only thing with engraving it can add up $$$. For DD I got an album from things to be remembered and I loved it; it forced me to print pictures out from the day

I usually do $50 per kid, so i'd do $100 total for them.

I would give $200 if it was for twins. I usually give one child $100-$150 if me and my DH are both attending.

I am having my sons baptism in June and I would def prefer cash or a bond over a personalized gift or something of the like. We got so much of that stuff when he was born I have bags and bags of clothes and toys and the like he prob will never get to use.
So I would def give money or a gift card to target for diapers/wipes/formula. I think those would be the most appreciated.

I usually do 200-250 for one kid depending on where it is and how close we are. For twins I'd do $100-$150 per kid depending on where it is and how close we are.

I am not a twin, nor do I have any twins in the family - but I never understood the concept of giving twins less than you would give one child. If there were two siblings born at different times, you would give the "one child" amount for each. SO why wouldn't you give the one child amount for each twin????

I give both what I would give if it were just one child. If both DH & I were attending I would give $150 for each child. I
did this for our friends and my cousin who both had twins.
