Re: fairway vs whole foods

I love the Westbury Fairway- go there at least once a week.

Although the Jericho WF is nicer than the Manhasset one, I agree with whomever made the comment about the rude, nasty shoppers there.

The problem with the Manhasset one is that it the only one close to Queens so it is always PACKED and so busy, I went once, never again, We need another Whole Foods in the Whitestone/Bayside/Douglaston area !

I shop at Fairway. Whole Foods just doesn't have nearly everything I need. I don't love Fairway like I used to, but I think it is a good balance between an organic/natural market and a regular supermarket. Whenever I go to Whole Foods I spend too much money and still need to make a trip to Fairway after.

ETA I live within walking distance of Fairway and about a 15 min drive from Whole Foods, so that is a factor for me as well.

I love whole foods, but Fairway is SO much cheaper. I find their quality to be very good as well. I do about 90% of my shopping at Fairway. If I had a whole foods closer to me, I'd probably go more though.

I love whole foods, but I like how fairway has conventional products as well. It saves me the extra trip.

I buy DS' formula at WF in Lake Grove and I love it!

The Manhasset location sucks donkey balls.

I also really like Fairway, probably moreso than WF, but it's not nearby (though I heard it's coming to Lake Grove as well, yippee!!!)

I absolutely love both. I am in Nj and I have both close to me, but Whole Foods is 5 minutes from my house ( Fairway is 15 ). The closeness means that I go to Whole Foods more. I think I slightly prefer Whole Foods because their Whole Body section is much more extensive than the equivalent at Fairway. Still, they are both great.

No fairway by me but I go to whole foods all the time. You are no where near me, but I go to the WF in Lake Grove and it's very nice inside. It is also only about 5 years old so it's still very new.

this is the same one I go to and I love it there. It's a nice one. I never been to a fairway. I like whole foods. They have a big selection.
