Kanye West allegedly got into an altercation with an 18-year-old man on Monday, Jan. 13. The 36-year-old rapper reportedly punched the man in the arm over racial slurs he made towards fiancee Kim Kardashian.

A source close to Kardashian tells Us Weekly that the incident occurred at a Beverly Hills building where the couple was visiting to attend a furniture meeting for their new home. The young man allegedly shouted derogatory remarks towards nearby paparazzi. When Kardashian walked by, she reportedly told him, "You really shouldn't use racial slurs like that." He then allegedly began directing offensive comments at Kardashian, 33, and called her a "n****r lover."

West reportedly then came to Kardashian's aid. He allegedly followed the man into a chiropractor's office, and punched him in the arm. Police were then called.

More details....
Kim first ran into the man when he held the door for her so she could walk into a furniture showroom in Beverly Hills - just before midday today.
'As Kim walked in, the guy allegedly said, 'F**k these fa**ot-ass n****rs' referring to the paparazzi,' TMZ reported.
The reality star told the young man that the N-word was not appropriate to use.
That's when the teenager turned on the TV star, screaming, 'F**k you *****. Just trying to help you. Shut up n****r lover, stupid slut.'
A perturbed Kardashian then allegedly phoned Kanye, 36, to tell him what was happening.
Then, according to TMZ, 'when the guy realized Kanye was on the phone he allegedly said, 'F**k you N****r.' - so that the rap star could hear.
However, just minutes later, an enraged Kanye arrived to meet up with Kim and learn face-to-face what had happened.
Kanye and Kim then stormed into the office and reportedly found the teen sitting there. 'Witnesses say Kanye punched the guy and Kim screamed, 'We have it all on tape'.
A third party had to separate the two men and shortly after police were called.
Beverly Hills Police officers arrived on the scene but West and his fiancée had already left, the BHPD confirmed on Monday.
However, the 18-year-old said he wanted to press charges.
'Kanye was named as a suspect by the victim as well as witnesses. He had left prior to our arrival, and detectives are currently investigating,' Beverly Hills Police Sgt. George DeMarois told the New York Daily News.
'The named suspect was identified as Kanye West by the victim and several witnesses,' police said according to a Beverly Hills Police Department statement.
The BHPD are now conducting a follow-up investigation in regards to misdemeanor battery charges.

My thoughts exactly. That's what these little punks do- they push buttons until someone flips and then they make it out like they did nothing wrong and they are the victim.
But I would've found it extremely difficult not to knock this guy's teeth in, so I'm kinda impressed that Kanye just punched the guy in the arm and called it quits.
ETA: I actually HATE that this douche is going to get a payout for this. He's pressing charges, so they're going to give him something so he drops them. Ugh, flucking punk.

For once, I'm leaning more to the side of Kimye. I can understand Kanye wanting to defend his woman after that verbal attack, but hitting is no bueno! Just curse his face out. haha

Agreed. I see this every damn day on the train. It's the "it's showtime!" kids on the R train. Every damn day they are "practicing" (read: dancing, cursing, blasting music, and all around causing disruption) on the platform and they drop more n-words than they takes breaths. And if someone even looks at them sideways they get in their faces. I refuse to give them one red cent after the last time I saw them get in someone's face and if I find a cop around I will ask them to stop them from soliciting with a smile on my face. People are disgusting.

I 100% agree that no one should lay their hands on another person, but to me when one dude instigates a situation where another incredibly rich dude punches him in the arm says "big payout" to me. I can't imagine two regular joes getting into it over defending a girlfriend and it turning into all of this.

But the kid didnt mess with him. Kim's dum @ss called Kanye. And he wasnt messing with Kim either at first until she added her two sense about his mouth.
Now dont get me wrong, I dont agree at all with the kids comments. But to be honest, I would never correct or chastise a stranger on using a racial slur. Its not something im willing to get into a confrontation over. And if I did put my nose in it, I would try to walk away instead of escalating the situation and getting my DH involved who isnt even there at the time. The last thing I would want is him getting into a fight over nonsense I started and possibly getting arrested. It just seems so juvenile, I would call the police if I felt my life was in danger instead of my husband to come defend me.
Lastly, I was cracking up at Kanye punching him in the arm. Thats so odd, does Kanye not know how to fight.
Unfortuntely, rich or not; regardless of who started and who says what. If you hit first you are wrong.
