I was a little worried it wouldnt be as good as Chicago Fire but I think it was almost better.
A lot happened in the first episode! And you get to see some of the FD people.

You know what's weird, I couldn't stand Voight in CF but I'm kinda really liking him on CPD. He's doesn't seem as much of a d1ck as he did in CF.
It was a lot like watching a CF episode, same kind of "feeling" to the show. I really enjoyed it, can't wait until next week.

Is there going to be some kind of love triangle between Voight, Lindsay and the cop that has a name but I cant remember what it but he was on CF?

I watched and I really liked it. I loved the fact that it has the same feel as CF. I also loved I already kind of knew the characters. It made it easy to get right into the show.
The storylines are good so far and I loved seeing the crossover characters from CF.

They didn't answer that, but if I had to guess, I bet that Vought gave Lindsay his card, just like he did with that 13 yo, and that's how he "saved" her

I really liked it, but I don't think it has the same feel as CF. I think it's MUCH grittier, which is okay because of the type of show it is. CF delves into relationships in a different way. though, this was only the first episode so things might change.

-the whole thing with gabby being EMT. unless when filming they didnt have that story line set up for her on CF
-the cop from CF (gabbys old BF) wasnt he undercover in the mob? why would he be on the streets?
-if you dont watch CF, you dont know the story line to the boss - why he was in jail, blah blah blah

I noticed that with Gabby too.
I think there is something else with Lindsay and Voight. I don't get the sense it's a love thing, I think they have some history but not sure what yet. I would find it hard to believe she's into him.

I see them devoloping the relationships more as things move forward.
They already showed that cop gabby went out with defending linsey.
They have some background relationship with Lindsey and Voight too.
They showed Antonio with his woman and next episode will involve his kid.
It seems like they are going to have both the cop show feel and have us involved in the characters lives which is how CF is.

Re 1 - I think CPD was initially supposed to start airing earlier, so when they filmed it they weren't anticipating that the CF storyline would have happened already.
