What pisses me off is I feel like they would never ever write Gemma out of the show, since she's married to Kurt Sutter, the shows creator (Otto). Meanwhile I can't imagine seeing her holding those boys in future episodes! And I hope Jax doesn't get blamed for her death.
I look at it slightly different- Kurt has made his wife one of the most hated characters on television right now

So I finally watched it, I read spoilers so I knew Tara was gonna die but omg that was brutal I jumped and had to cover my eyes. I cried so much but especially when Jax found her
Gemma is so insane and unsers an idiot those poor boys, are they really gonna have the last season with jax in jail, hownwillmthat work and now Gemma is gonna watch the kids she might be even more unstable than before, she knows she f'd up

I see it this way too. Kurt Sutter is sadistic in his writing. just look at how he had his own character raped, tortured and just really having an all out ****** ride. I really don't think he would compromise the integrity of his story line for his wife. However, she is the matriarch and the story begins with her...so she is very important. As much as people would love to just focus on Jax...there is no substance to the story if you take away the antagonists in the drama and only keep the good guys. It would be too predictable.

I agree with this very much. Kurt Sutter knows that the relationship between Jax and Gemma the center of the entire show. This series is essentially Hamlet with an updated retailing and a lot more plot. I have a feeling the series finale is going to end with the showdown between Jax and Gemma and He will ultimately kill his mother.
This next season they are going to send Jax to an even darker place because the two people who were his moral compasses, Opie and Tara, are both gone. Can't imagine how bad Jax will get now
