Eh, if Pacific Rim didn't do it, I think he's safe. People love Jax too much. It would've been awful to watch though. You would just have to mute it and fast forward to the sexy scenes, which is okay by me.

I was iffy about this guy after knowing it could have Charlie Hunnam (sigh!), but once I heard this guy talk, I was ok with it...he has an incredibly sexy deep throaty Irish brogue...I wish they'd let him keep it for the movie!!
She doesn't bother me now that I've seen her with the dark hair. Anna isn't supposed to be a supermodel.

Neither one works for me. Not in any way. No one cares about these books anymore. They were doomed as far as selecting characters from the beginning because everyone has a different idea of them. And by 2015 it is going to be beyond old news. I doubt this movie is going to do well.
People will see it for a laugh.
It will be the #1 comedy in the country.

The movie is going to be terrible. The books were terribly written. If E.L. James had any part in writing the screenplay it just going to be one big rolling eyes fest.
How can they even recreate any of the sex scenes without the movie being rated NC-17?

The sad part is that he's a very good actor. Check out the BBC Northern Ireland series The Fall, starring him and Gillian Anderson. Really really good. He's a serial killer (not a spoiler - you learn this in the first 30 seconds) and yet you can't stop watching him.
The good part is that every generation needs a "so bad it's fun to watch" film (Showgirls, Basic Instinct, The Batman movie that had George Clooney) and this will most likely be it.

This part made me literally LOL
The fact that Fifty Shades of Grey, that Twilight fanfic that was written on a Blackberry and has gone on to serve as jill off fodder for BDSM illiterate women who don't dry up like the Sahara Desert when they read the words "OH GOSH!" in the context of nipple clamps, is being made into a movie— let alone a movie that producers expect people will see twice — is testament to the fact that America, as a population has terrible taste and, as a population, still is totally weird and repressed about sex. That being said, I'm going to go see this on opening day, drunk off my ass.
