Pre implantation genetic disgnosis and IVF cost
Anyone have experience with PGD? I am the carrier of a rare genetic syndrome which I unknowingly passed to my child. I am interested in having another child but my insurance does not cover PGD or IVF. I was told I can submit a letter from my dr to the insurance company to ask them to make an exception for coverage. Has anyone had experience with PGD? Or appealing to their insurance? Thanks!

I have experience with PGD as I have done it twice in the past for fertility issues. However, Ihave no experience with trying to get insurance to cover it. We paid out of pocket. We did have IVF coverage so that was one less financial burden. Feel free to FM me if you have questions.
