Now that Halloween is coming up..
I want to watch a scary movie but NOT a gory movie or anything too violent. I feel like the newer scary movies are like that. Any good old fashioned horror movies that you can recommend?
My co-worker told me to watch The House on Haunted Hill and The Haunting.
any others?

I really enjoyed "the others" with Nicole Kidman. It's from 2001. Also "stir of echoes" b/c I just love Kevin Bacon.

Kevin Bacon could be in a cartoon and I would still be totally creeped out by him! He freaks me out! Bless your soul for watching him in something scary!

The Entity. Scared the shit out of me. I literally didnt sleep for weeks. Its based on a teue story, and a 1970's movie. No frills or crazy special effects, butit will make you twitch.

Silent Hill was F*cked up! It was definitely disturbing but I'm not too sure about gorey. Parts of it were like a TOOL video 
Also, though not a horror, Constantine was a good movie that was pretty messed up.
