New shows... "on the next episode"
What's with turning fun sitcoms into soap operas?!
I don't know why it bothers me so much, but it does!
The last 2 or 3 mins of the show was a quick and funny bit and now all I see is "coming attractions" for next week's show. Sitcoms are not soap operas. I like that the shows stay true to a story, but not every episode should be a "to be continued"
Ok... maybe I'm overreacting, but it bothers me and DH first thought I was nuts, but then started to agree with me.

Re: New shows... "on the next episode"
I feel like all shows are like this now. Like if you don't watch it from episode one or you miss an episode or 2, you can't follow it. I remember back when I was a kid the only shows like this were soap opreas (daytime or nighttime like Dallas, Dynasty etc) I remember watching the show Hunter- it was a cop drama- and every week was a new story line- you never had to watch it from day 1 to get the story line. Nowadays, all the shows are pretty much LONG movies that they cut up into hour long episodes. I hate it.
