how much is a replacement car key w remote?
I think it depends on the car. Our car key is programmed specifically to our car so if we lose it, they need to reprogram one and it's about $300.

I've never had to do it but I remember them going over this with the last couple of leases at the dealership and they say it can start at around $75.00.
I think they add other factors in such as how quickly you need it.

We just bought a Tiguan and the dealership told us it would be almost $400 for a replacement key.

My husband's truck key was around $500. It had to reprogram with the remote start, so that may have been an added cost.

As an optional coverage, check your auto policy for key replacement. You may be paying for this coverage and not even realize you have it. It's often no extra charge and your deductible doesn't apply.

Honda pilot was 280. We lost our second set. A few weeks after we got our new key our old one turned up. That's always my luck!

I was gonna suggest this, my parents list their key and it was replaced through their insurance
