Seriously...talk me down from the ledge. What time should I get to the airport?
8am flight out of JFK heading to Orlando. I live in Selden. What time should I leave my house....?

Weekend? And checking bags? I would leave at 5. Should take a little more than an hr at that time.

4:45 am. I would want to get there just before the rush of people who will aim to leave at 5.

When I flew out of JFK, the last 2 times my flight has been at 6:30am. It totally amazes me just how many people are at the airport at 5am it's crazy. TSA always takes a long time. I would leave by 5am and get there by 6. I would start getting panicky and antsy if it was any later

ok...I'll go apoligize to my DH now....I thought he was insane for having the limo pick us up at 4:30 for an 8am flight

DH and I will be flying to Aruba at 7am. Since its international we have to be there 2 hours early. We're going to leave our house at 3:30-3:45am.  I just keep telling myself that it will all be worth it when we're on the beach by lunch time.

I think it's always best to be early. You never know what you may run into and don't need the added stress.
