Ben Affleck is the new Batman.
Because he was so good in Daredevil, right!?

Not much better but he's actually the new Batman in the Batman-Superman movie...Henry Cavill will play Superman again.

I think he will be great. I know much different from Christian Bale but I really think Ben Affleck will look amazing has Batman.

Terrible choice. The story they are telling is suppose to have batman older and more jaded. Affleck is too young and good looking.

ITA. I told someone how I was disappointed in the casting and they threw me a scathing look and said "Why don't you go home and watch Argo and then tell me what you think about Affleck as Batman?" I just answered "Why don't you go home and watch Daredevil!" 
But really, I'm not knocking him as an actor, but Batman is not Argo.

Ben Affleck is the new Batman.
My DH is absolutely distraught over this.. Seriously, he loves comics THAT much. I think it was a very poor choice myself but I am hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I can't even begin to tell you how many people I know were up in arms over Heath Ledger being the Joker and he was fabulous.

Seeing all the backlash over this decision made me realize one thing. People REALLY take their action hero's seriously.

The poor guy is getting ripped apart over this.
Hopefully he comes out and proves them all wrong. But the last superhero movie I watched was Superman with Christopher Reeves. So what do I know

i really don't get why people are so upset.
he's a great actor. read the director's take on the role (older, jaded bruce wayne) and think affleck can totally pull it off. i think the batman thing will be a secondary part of this role, but i guess we'll see.
the movie is still about superman not batman. nothing to worry about.
then again, i did not enjoy christian bale as batman at all. he was way too intense. i also didn't like the trilogy and never watched the third one. way too dark and violent for me. batman may be misguided and became a superhero out of vengeance, but he's still supposed to be the good guy. he didn't feel like it this time around.
hoping ben's version can bring my faith in his heroism back.

He's handsome but goofy I can't picture this at all. I thought Clooney was a mistake too when they picked him to be Batman. What happened to Bale?
The newer batman movies have a much darker side I'm just not seeing the fit for the role. But maybe he'll surprise us.

Bale is still Batman... Affleck is only Batman in the Man of Steel sequel.
I don't think they are making anymore Bale Batman movies though... I thought they had their three and they were done. Aside from this crossover, I don't think there's plans for anymore Batman movies in the near future. I could be wrong though.

I'll reserve my opinion until after the movie comes out. I never saw Michael Keaton as Batman & I don't think he was awful.

As a serious superhero fan -- I am sorely disappointed in this choice. They should've picked a more fresh faced person for this role. Affleck is better behind the camera, not in front of it. Bad choice.
