Sandra Oh Leaving Grey's Anatomy
She's hanging up her scrubs for good.
Next season will be the last for Grey's Anatomy star Sandra Oh, after what will be 10 seasons on the hit ABC medical drama.
"It's been a great privilege to play the character of Cristina Yang on GA, and I am both sad and excited to see where this, her final season will take her," Oh, 42, said in a statement, EW.com reports.
"It was an emotional and deeply creative decision for me and I feel fully supported by Shonda [Rhimes, the show's creator and executive producer] and the writers," her statement continued.
Oh, who won a 2006 Golden Globe for her role as the tough-as-nails surgeon, and earned five consecutive Emmy nominations from 2005 to 2009, says the decision to part ways with the show wasn't an easy one.
"Creatively, I really feel like I gave it my all, and I feel ready to let her go," she told the Hollywood Reporter.
But rest easy, Grey's fans. A rep for ABC says Oh's departure won't mean the end of Grey's Anatomy.
"It's our intention to have Grey's on the air for many years to come, with as many of the original cast as possible," said a network rep.

I really hope she just moves somewhere with Owen and they don't kill her off in a tornado that hits the hospital or something. This and HIMYM are two shows I'm watching just because I watched them from the beginning!

Yep! This show is getting too ridiculous for me. I only watch because Ive been watching it since it started. I find the show very hard to go on without Yang.

Really??? Its sad because this used to be one of my favorite shows and now it is getting painful to watch. Go out while you have some dignity left please!!

I have to say I haven't watched since the plane crash killed all those characters, it just got weird after that. I am surprised I hasn't been cancelled yet. Private practice was so much better.
Greys anatomy is a snooze feat

 Se really does have the UGLIEST cry face. It's painful to watch her cry, I just want to laugh every time she tries to be all emotional on the show.
