Up for the day OR back to sleep?
DS is 12 weeks old. He sleeps all night from 8-9pm until 6am. At that time, he gets a bottle, and we're up for the day. I'd love for him to go back to sleep for another 2 hours or so.
I go back to work in 2 weeks (nooooo! ) and it would be much easier for me to manage the mornings if he would just go back down.
If your baby woke up at that time, did you give a bottle and go back to sleep, or was it up for the day at 6am? WWYD?

I would give a bottle and 6 am and put back down if he is willing to go back to sleep. 6 am is a bit early to start the day :)

Up for the day OR back to sleep?
DS is up for the day at 6am M-f. We can get him to go til 7 most Sat and Sun.
I work FT so I jsut get ready before he gets up. DH gets in the shower aroud the same time DS wakes. I get DS up, milk, change and ready for daycare. I leave and DH takes DS to daycare.
It works out perfect for us.

We start at 6 every day. It's the summer and it's nice and light out.
Ask me again in the fall LOL.

Re: Up for the day OR back to sleep?
My DD used to get up around then and then go right back down for another few hours. Then suddenly at 13w she dropped that feeding and just slept straight through until 8ish! I went back to work at 14w so that was huge for me. I'll hope for the same for you!

Ok, looks like I'll be trying to get him back to sleep after that bottle. I need to get blackout shades!

Up for the day OR back to sleep?
She wakes up anytime between 430-530. I pull her in bed with me, she nurses and we fall asleep for at least 3-4hrs. Unfortunately I went back to work on tues so I pray she wakes up earlier so we can snuggle and she can nurse and we can sleep a little bit longer. I get up at 530 and let her sleep til 550-6 before getting her up and dressed for daycare. Looking forward to a late snuggle fest on sat.

Re: Up for the day OR back to sleep?
We start the day between 5 and 6. She will get a bottle and be up for about an hour before she goes to sleep again. I don't go back to sleep though. On the few times she gets up before 5, we both go back to bed.

You could try this, TBH that stretch at 12 weeks is amazing! DD was still getting up 2x a night when I was going back to work

Re: Up for the day OR back to sleep?
i would often bring them into the bed with me and eitehr nurse back to sleep or just put the binkie and that was often enough to get them to quickly go back to sleep for another 2 hours!

Re: Up for the day OR back to sleep?
I think 6am is a pretty typical wake up time. DS wakes up around then and will sometimes go back down for another hour, but usually he's up for the day. 9 consecutive hours of sleep sounds amazing to me!

You can lay him down, but if he's not tired he's not tired--IMO its not easy to force a schedule on a baby that age.
