Should I get the City Mini?

I already have the Uppa Baby Vista with rumble seat for my 2 year old and newborn, but my 2 year old does not look comfortable on long walks. Should I get ANOTHER stroller? The City Mini comes highly recommended. Help!

We love our City Mini. My 3 year old still fits. He takes naps in it too.

Re: Should I get the City Mini?

I only have one 10mos old baby but I have the pupa baby vista and am definitely in the minority but I freaking hate the thing. Dd never slept in the bassinet. And the regular stroller attachment is fine but the whole this is so heavy and hard to get in and out of car and I have a jeep.

So I just bought the city mini gt and I lovvvve it! It's so much lighter and better and easier to fold. So many little things that are better like the lock is by the handle and the sun shade goes down far enough to cover her from the sun. I got the gt bc it goes up to 65lbs not 50. And a few other features.

I am going to sell the vista bc it was a waste of money to me. Now if I still lived in manhattan maybe it would be better but rotting it in and out of the car is my problem.

So I am a city mini fan in general vs the vista.

Why does everyone love the city mini so much? I like mine but wouldn't rave about it. The basket underneath is way to small and I hate that you have to buy all the parts...

The best thing to do would be to go into a store and try the strollers out with the kids.

It's not easy to do, but does provide useful information!

DS just didn't fit into lots of strollers (macclarens), and DD did not like the citi mini when she was very little.

The things I like about the City Mini are:
-One handed pushing - I need this...I'm a big coffee drinker ;)
-The sunshade goes down really far. Half the time I don't even need to put the rain cover on when I'm walking with dd because the sun shade shields her from rain too
-Easy folding. One handed. When I get home from work, I can easily take DD out of the stroller, hold her and fold up the stroller to bring them both inside the house at the same time.
-The wheels are good and turning is very easy

I dislike the size of the basket, but I've learned to deal with it and I just keep the rain cover in the basket and diaper bag or my purse go on the "Mommy Hook"

I agree the basket sucks! You have to access it from the side not the back. Just pull the basket netting down on the side of the stroller and you can fit a large diaper bag in there.

Good idea. I would have to go with DH though! Can't imagine lugging the two of them! Chat Icon

Re: Should I get the City Mini?

Yes! The basket is small but my dc are very close so we don't really go anywhere with them yet so the basket doesn't matter. I didn't buy any accessories and I still like it a lot. It is very easy to fold and out in trunk.

You may want to look into the city Select being you have two. I used the city mini for dd and now that I have dd and ds, I have and love my city select. A ton of room and configurations for both kids.

Another vote for the City Mini here! We had the single with our first son and loved it so much that we bought the double after our second was born.
