WHY do people...
Let babies put their hands in their (the adult)mouth?? Like num num, yummy fingers and shiit. Everyone knows babies hands are always in their own mouths. Would they just go up to another adult, stuck their hands in their mouth then go eat a sandwich?? NO! I'm pretty sure the answer is NO!
How do I politely tell them to knock it off. I can just be blunt like I usually am, but I hate being all "don't do this", "don't do that" because with some people I need to do this ALL the frickin time.
Where is the wine!!  
ETA: now that they are older I'm not so germaphobic, but this still kills me.

I literally bugged face on my MIL on one of her visits about this. I played the preemie card instead of the I'm neurotic card. I also then told my mom about the conversation with my MIL so it would send the same message. I never saw my mom do it, but my wife had.

WHY do people...
When DD was younger, I was happy my SIL told MIL to stop kissing DD's hands, and I asked her to stop also, but she never stopped.
I also have the problem that DD likes to reach out and touch people's faces (will stick fingers in their nose and mouth). When I stop her, they say it's ok, they don't mind. I just tell them she puts her hands in her mouth, so I try to keep them clean.

It is my child and I don't let them put their hands in my mouth. They try because they don't know better, but I pull them away. I don't chomp on my fingers. If people want to allow their kids to that's fine, but I don't want mine whether it's my mouth or another adults.

I would not like it if my DD's fingers were in someone else's mouth, but I have to admit that her hands are often in my mouth, either because she has decided to put them there (you'd think she was a dentist or something), or because I'm teasing her by "eating" her hands. It keeps her amused on the changing table; otherwise she'd be doing her usual acrobatics.

ugh, I always found this so disgusting. I will never understand why people do this. The inside of the mouth is the dirtiest part of your body. Don't feel bad about telling people that you don't like it.

i know so gross!!!!!! MIL did this when he was little, and I said please don't do that he always has his hands in his mouth. She said I'm not worried about germs....and I was like I don't care about you I don't want him getting your germs!!! Unless its your own kid, super gross

Ugh my MIL is the same. I asked her countless times not to do this and she never listens. Her dumb response " I don't have germs...I'm the Grandma!!" What is that supposed to mean???

ITA. Use to gross me out to no end. And furthermore, it realllllllly bothered me that I even had to even say something to anyone about it, not sure why it wasn't just common sense to people to NOT do it. Ick.
Don't even get me started on people who kept trying to share their drinks, food, and utensils with my kid....................

I'm pretty sure it means you get to kick her lol that's what it means.
I'm so glad Im not the only one. I feel like Im ALWAYS telling them to stop doing some dumb-arse thing and sound like a B. but Im going to say something next time.
I HAVE said something before when they were younger but I also told people not to kiss them b/c every single person I heard of had the flu at the time. I guess my leniency was seen as a "free for all might as well lick the child" type thing.

I usually do but I feel like I'm telling certain people to stop doing stuff or follow my rules/kids routine/schedule ALLLL the frickin time so I'm sure they think I'm a controlling B. Which I am, but still lol
