Hershey Park - lodging
We were just there a couple weeks ago and stayed at the Hershey Campground. We stayed in an RV but they also had some adorable cabins. Could be worth checking their pricing and availability. You get all the same perks as the other properties like the shuttle and early admittance. I will also say they kept the grounds and bathrooms impeccably clean!

Country Inn and Suites on Jonestown road. They are not crazy expensive, clean, nice place. 5 mile ride down 1 road to get to park

There is the Holiday Inn Harrisburg East. They have a nice outdoor pool, indoor pool and playground. I think it's around $159. There is also a Marriott Townplace Suites nearby. It's nice, free breakfast. Not sure of the price since we use points. I would look in the Harrisburg area, it will be cheaper than the hotels that are on Chocolate area, or right near Hershey. It's about a 15 minute drive.

I will check those also- thank you ! I did find one $211 with 2 adults tickets included, I think ramada? not so good reviews, so that makes me nervous to book.

Honestly, the ones that have tickets included aren't always a great deal. Price it out separately.
You can buy tickets through this discounted link for $38.10. http://padutchbsa.org/discounted-hersheypark-tickets/
Also, check ebay for tickets. I just bought 3 of them for $100, and saved another $15 using my "ebay bucks" that I earned.

Re: Hershey Park - lodging
we'll be staying at the Red Roof Inn; SIL uses them all the time as they pet friendly hotel. I've never been in this one, but overall she has had good feedback.
SIL is coming with us so she booked us there. GIve them a try.
and steer clear of the Hershey Travel Lodge. We stayed there last summer, literally over nite just to sleep b/c we drove up late and checked out the next moring. O.M.G. its more like a bates motel ...

We are staying at Comfort Suites Hummelstown - Hershey. It's about five miles from Hershey and includes breakfast. Seems to have good reviews. If you go on the Comfort Suite website and become a member of their club (free) and have no problem paying in full when you book, you can get a great rate (we're paying about $300 for three night including bkfst - king room with sofabed).
