formula feeding schedule for 7 week old

what is/was your feeding schedule like for your 7 week old?

how many ounces per day?

how often did you give a bottle? every 2 hours, 3 hours, 4 hours?

i know its still early for a set schedule but we're starting to fall into a routine and i wanted to see what others do.

At 7 weeks, DD was taking 5 bottles of formula a day - at 7am, 11am, 3pm, 7pm and 11pm. They were all filled to 5 oz, but she wouldn't always finish them.

We had DD on a feeding schedule by the 2nd week, so not necessarily too early. All depends on the baby.

At 7 weeks DS was nowhere near a schedule. I'd feed him whenever he was hungry, which was 5, 6 or 7 5oz bottles a day. Probably every 3 hours or so and it depended how many times he woke up overnight.

Even now at 5 months I just feed DS when he's hungry rather than a set schedule. I'm not always hungry at the same time everyday so I don't expect DS to be either!

My son is 3.5 months but has had the same schedule since 2 months old.

Wakes up between 6:30-7am - 6 oz bottle

10am - 6 oz bottle

2pm - 6 oz bottle

5pm - 6 oz bottle

8pm - 6 oz bottle then in bed for the night

ETA - Always finishes the bottle

My dd is like me. She's a muncher. Getting her to finish a whole bottle in one sitting is near impossible so I just feed her when she's hungry till she stops eating.

I think DD was taking a bottle every 3 hours, longer at night by then. And probably about a 5oz bottle each time.
