clothing donations
does anyone know of a boys group home in Suffolk county I have a 22 yr old brother who cleaned out his dresser and closet and I have tons of clothes that he probably wore once and was throwing them out because he doesn't wear them anymore I would love to see them go to someone in need but I refuse to give them to places like salvation army or thrift stores that turn around and sell them for a profit, the clothes are young mens style clothes if you know of any place please let me know thanks

Re: clothing donations
I donate a lot to Church of Christ in West Islip. Actually there is a school there and they mostly take the clothes and distribute them. They are given directly to people in need.

Re: clothing donations
Also hitesite.org is a way to look up social service organizations by zip code.
A person does not need to be living in a group home to be in high need. In fact, it's been my experience that a lot of people who are in group homes are a lot better off financially.
Many still have the support of their family.
