Flouride Treatment
At DD's 1yr ped visit, they recommended at this age she see a dentist. I just called to make the appt and they offered to give her a topical flouride treatment?!
I'm hesitant to do so with all of the controversy over flouride but, DH and I have horribe teeth so I'd like to be pro-active. Just wondering what others have done.

DS is 3, this will be his 4th visit and we never did fluoride, but I am very against it.

I don't do the fluoride treatments. I sneak some coconut oil into my kids smoothies, it helps strengthen tooth enamel as well. I'm sure you'll have many responses saying it's safe, but i'm not comfortable with using it.

I was fine with it because it was the only exposure to fluoride since we still use fluoride free toothpaste with them. Im not all up in arms about the whole fluoride debate personally. Unless someone eats the whole tube of toothpaste then there shouldn't be any issues.

We didn't but she did clean his teeth. I am not for or against it. He uses fluoride tooth paste after the visit bc we were told we should. We hardly put any on so I don't think its a big deal. Talk to the dentist before hand and explain your concern. See what he/she says .
