It depends on your car - you need to check your Owner's manual.
We have a Ford Escape and ours is installed on the passenger side as the middle seat is not configured properly for a car seat.

Where did you install your convertible car seat?
Safety depends on car. I have a pilot & only 1 child. I have his seat rear-facing in the middle seat. Its incovenient for me, but I feel its safest for him in case of a side impact collision.

My daughter and I each have a graco myride 65. It's still rear facing. I have it installed in the middle in my Lincoln town car. It was a bit of a pain getting my granddaughter in and out, but now she's 21/2 and she climbs in and out herself. My daughter has a Honda odyssey and her seat is installed behind the passenger seat.

Passenger side. We had the rear-facing infant seat there as well in our trailblazer but in the middle of the sedan. For some reason we couldn't get the MyRide 65 in good in the middle of the new sedan (2012 Sonata) so went with the passenger side.

Also if you are using the middle make sure you check your car manual. if it doesn't have center latch, you need to see if your car allows for borrowing and if it does, then you need to see if your seat allows borrowing. If neither or only one allows it, then you'd need to install the seat with the seatbelt as opposed to using latch.

It depends on the car - check the owners manual. The middle is generally known for being the "safest" but, it isnt' the case in all cars. We used to have a Subaru Forester and it advised not to install in the middle so we put it behind the passenger seat.

According to the manual I don't have a center latch. Says nothing about borrowing

Where did you install your convertible car seat?
In my Honda Accord the seat is behind the passenger seat. In DH's Honda Ridgeline, the seat is in the middle.
