Any Arrested Development fans?
What did you think of season 4? I am on episode 5 or 6 and am JUST getting into the groove. I hope it gets better

Watching it tonight! Watched it briefly the other day.....the narrator sounds different is it just me?

Yes! Episodes 1-4 DRAGGED out and we were ready to give up. Then it FINALLY starts picking up after episode 5! We are on Episode 7 now. Glad we hung in there!

I'm on episode 6, too. It's just not doing it for me. And I loooooooooooooove the original. First of all, they seem really bitter about being cancelled and I feel like they bring it up all the time. At least twice an episode. I mean it's in the beginning voice over. We get it, it sucked and was surprising to me, too, but get over it! You've got a brand new shot. Stop living in the past. I also wish they could've picked up right where they left off. I get that this wasn't exactly possible since George Michael and Maeby are older (though Michael Cera looks exactly the same to me), but still. I'm hoping once they've caught everyone up to "present day" it'll improve- I just feel like since the family isn't all together they are missing that give and take they used to have.
Also, what the fluck did Portia De Rossi do to her face?! I mean, I've seen photos of her since the show went off the air, but I never realized how different she looked. DH and I thought they replaced her with someone new!

THIS!!! I am having such a hard time focusing on the scenes with Lindsay because of her face. She was so gorgeous before.
I also don't like the format that each character gets his/her own "episode". I heard this could have been due to scheduling for the entire cast but some of my favorite moments of the old show were when the Bluths were all together.
I did just get through the first episode that focused on GOB and it was hysterical...reminded me of the "old" AD.

Yupp! That's exactly what I mean. I'm hoping this is just a "catch up" though and they'll all come together in later episodes. They just play so well off of each other- it would be a shame to lose that dynamic.

OMG I've said all the same things you've all said--
We're not laughing as much as with the original series. All the characters seem to be a muted version of themselves.
The one thing that I caught that made me  was when Henry Winkler was caught on the fence--maybe episode 2-3--and Scott Baio is next to him..he screams out that he's stuck on the CHACHI!
The best episode so far was Michael's 2nd one.
The cameos are great too.
