What is everyone doing for the holiday weekend?

It looks like much of it is going to be rained out. We had plans to go to the Bronx Zoo tomorrow but it looks like we will have to cancel those. We are going to a BBQ on Monday hosted by my BFF & her fiance. Other than that, Saturday & Sunday look pretty boring. Any fun ideas? DH mentioned going into the city and going to the MET or MONH. But, with a 2 yr old and a 2 month old?

We might go to the aquaruim in Riverhead. How about the Natural History museum instead of the MET and if it turns out not to rain you can walk to central park and go to the Central Park zoo.

We were supposed to BBQ with my in-laws but with a high of only 52 forecasted for tomorrow (!!) that's out. I was thinking about taking DS to the LI Childrens' Museum... do you think it will be packed now that the weather is going to be bad? I've never been there.

Nothing.
I hate this weather.
I can't even open my pool. It's freezing out.
Maybe by Monday it will be nice so we will have ONE day before going back to work.

Gotta LOVE Long Island weather.
It's like living in Greenland or something.

DD's birthday on Saturday, moved indorrs to my Mom's house
Sun and Mon up in the air now due to the weather. Still hoping to get some planting done and BBQ'ing at least one night. Oh and still drinking, that's on the agenda.

Cleaning!

AJ is going to my aunt’s house, I’m popping a Claritin D pill and we are cleaning.

Floors need to be swept and cleaned if possible.
3rd room needs to be cleared out
AJ’s clothes need to be downsized due to size and weather
Kitchen counters need to be de-cluttered
Mail needs to be sorted and tossed if necessary.

If I’m LUCKY I will also donate my old clothes, sell AJ’s and shop for a dining room table or patio table.

*sigh*

Gonna be BUSY but for a good cause!

After nearly 13 years my Dad is moving back to Texas!!!



And with a lot of talking and paperwork the S. Dakota parole is contemplating (tho it looks really good) to allow my baby brother to serve his remaining probation here in San Antonio living with me. So AJ gets her Uncle Danny back!


Super excited.

They should be ready to go (waiting on this parole officer to green light us) within the next two weeks, if not sooner. Then I fly to Omaha and we all drive back down with the stuff. They even have a house already down here.

Only sad part is our travel will take us directly through the destruction of Oklahoma City and Moore, OK.


Told my dad to pack as much of his unwanted furniture as he can fit into that trailer so we can stop and donate it while we drive through.

Maybe we'll grill on Sunday as a nod to the holiday weekend.
