sunblock recommendations
with the weather becoming so steamy i need to buy a sunblock for my girls. They are 6 months old....what name brand do you like?
one of my girls has very sensitive skin and of course everthing goes in the mouth so how do i avoid them eating it?

I really like Coppertone Water Babies Pure and Simple.
It does not contain the one ingrediant that was causing concern and it gets a pretty good rating.
I also like that it goes on white so you can see where it's going- then rubs in clear.
Make sure it's the new one though- the Pure and Simple.
The older kind contained that ingrediant they caution against...

The Coppertone pure and simple has great ratings, plus it's safe! Also, the Badger sunscreen was rated number one on the list.

I like safe mama better than Ewg. She takes the ewg recommendations and breaks them down even more into a nice list thoroughly explaining why you shouldn't use certain brands or products because of what they contain and why those ingredients are bad for you all in easy to understand language and terms. So she complies this list of the best, safest sunscreens then reviews them. She will tell you exactly what's inside of it, how it applies...some are really goopy and don't blend well. She even talks about costs and where to find them. Great site. Her number one recommendation is Badger. We bought badger last year for my boys based on the Ewg rating. It was pretty pricey. I got it from Sherry's in Babylon...$16 for a small tube. I also bought a face stick. Besides the price, the only thing I didn't like about it was that it made my boys look like I covered them in white paint, it never blended in. Well, safemama's review of this years best sunscreen has badger at the top and mentioned that they now have a new formula so that it blends in clear.
