And when we were watching it, DH said, "If I were Jon Snow, when I got to the top of the wall I would have stabbed that guy in the eye."

I love Jon Snow and Ygritte sooo much. "You won't betray your woman." He better not!
Poor Sansa. And that scene at the end with Joffrey and the prostitute OMG this kid needs to go.
The Theon storyline is still confusing me (and it got so gross).
Arya and Gendry and Melisandre was interesting - DH said that didn't happen in the books. I told DH weeks ago I have a feeling down the road Arya and Gendry are going to be serious key players in this.

I was surprised at how much gore they show! A few weeks ago with Jaime and now this. I was seriously squeamish that whole time but I couldn't look away.
You're right the Gendry thing didn't happen in the books. Here's a question for y'all, because I'm getting mixed up again... Who is Gendry and why is he important to Melisandre? I mean I know why but I don't remember it being explained in the show.
And am I crazy or does she look different than when she was with Stannis? I didn't think it was the same actress at first.

right, she said she needs the blood of a true king (or in this case, his bloodline) in order to do some sort of magic tomfoolery to help Stannis become king
yes, this stuff wasn't in the books - which i actually think is really cool! I also realized that all this stuff with Theon being tortured wasn't actually in book 3, it doesn't show up until book 5 if i remember correclty - and i bet they've moved it to this season to keep people interested in him and his story.
I am really enjoying this season!! I like how they are changing things slightly - it keeps me on my toes and keeps me remembering the story (Because trust me, after having read them all over the course of a few years, you forget a LOT of stuff! )

It is good to know that it wasn't in the books. I thought I had to back an read the book because I didn't remember that part in the book. I took a break from the books. I read the first 3 in a month. I started reading 4 because I was getting a little lost in the show. I do like the changes. It isn't like the true blood changes. I hates the changes from the book to the show in true blood.

Re: game of thrones may 5
Again, another fantastic episode. I feel bad for Sansa. This poor girl has been through so much. The whole Theon story has me a bit confused. Why is that guy torturing him? I had to look down for those scenes. And OMG.....what Joffrey did to that prostitute, so disturbing. But that is what makes this show so great.....the fantastic acting and story lines. Can't wait till next week.
Do you think Tyrion and Cersei will have a double wedding? Lol

Ok I wasn't sure that show-watchers knew he was Robert's son or not. They made him seem SO important in the books and SO secretive. It took Ned so long to find him, at his own peril. I expected Gendry to be some huge plotline to come in later books and now he's been 'outed' already on the show, so I guess he's just not as important as I thought he was.
Is it mean that I didn't feel that bad for Sansa, crying at the end of the show? I don't know if it's her character or the actress playing her, but I don't feel for her. I felt more for Arya last week.
