Recommend your stroller for an older/bigger todddler plus a baby.

When I was shopping for my 2, they were 3 years apart, and the woman at BBB told me that side by side would not be a good option b/c the weight difference would make it very difficult to maneuver.

Any ideas for a toddler ~40lbs plus a newborn/baby?

I used the Joovy. It's cheap, big, not light, but a baby and chubby toddler are both comfy in it side by side (which they both preferred). DS did not fit into the macclarens... He is broad shouldered.

I don't use it often (we will usually have one walk and the other ride... DS is 2.5 now), but when we do, they love it!

I have a 3 year old and due in August, I purchased the Britax b-ready. I liked it better then the city select, it folds with seats attached, I love the basket, and it is cheaper.

Re: Recommend your stroller for an older/bigger todddler plus a baby.

When I worked as a nanny, I had a newborn and a 17 month old. The front to back Graco worked the best for me. I also used a side by side (Peg Perego Aria Twin) at times with them but it wasn't easy to steer with the different weight limit. I used the front to back with the older kids I watched and it was still easy to steer with a lot of weight in it..

We have the Peg Perego Aria twin, and the weight difference makes it really hard to steer. My son weighs 40+ lbs and the baby is almost 15 lbs now, and I dread using it.

Right now, I don't really take the kids anywhere by myself so I haven't used it much. I don't see myself going on many walks with it right now. Chat Icon

I have the Maclaren Twin Triumph. DS is 3.5 & DD is 8 months. It is very easy to steer and I am petite. I went to BBB with both kids and it was either this or the citymini. I got this one because it was cheaper and it reclines flat.

We just this stroller last week. DD1 will be 3 on he 24th and dd2 is almost 2 months. dd1 is 30 lbs and dd2 is 11. Its a nice stroller. It's a little heavy but I like that it's not wide. The basket is great.

This is what we have. DD was just under 2.5 when DS was born. Now about a year later, I still use it. DD is very tall so her legs hang off the seat but she usually folds them up anyway. So far, so good. And I like that it can go back to a single when needed.

. I have the graco and hate it. I'm trying to sell it so I can put the money towards something else. I hated it with the infant seat and my 32 month old is only 28lbs and it's gettin too snug on her.

A lot of people we know have the City Select and like it.

Our boys are 2 yrs apart and we originally had the double maclaren and now have the double city mini.

YESSSS! I was just looking and its so hard to find one! My DD is 3 and is huge 45 lbs and 45" and she still loves the stroller... I even noticed the ones where they stand in the back only hold up to 40 lbs! What the hell am I gonna do?
