Another how much pizza question
sorry
15 kids (4-6yr olds)
15 adults
We have individual servings of mac n cheese (20)
Fruit platter
I was thinking 3 pies should be enough since kids never eat more than one slice and some may not eat the pizza and just eat mac or pizza no mac and parents can have the mac?
Crazy?
Its a bring your own food to the party type place so I dont want left overs..

For me, I would get a 4th pie to be on the safe side. But if you're really concerned about leftovers then 3 pies will probably be fine.

I would probably get 4 maybe even 5 pies...I would estimate 1 slice per child and 1.5 slice per adult...if that is all you are having for the adults - I would probably eat 2 slices myself...if I thought there was enough!

I agree. Although you are having a choice of pizza and mac and cheese, I would prepare as if everyone would want pizza.

I think the 1.5 is figuring some would eat 1 while others will eat 2...so average of 1.5. LOL!!
I would count on 2 per adult and 1 per child. I would not even do the mac & cheese unless you know for sure that some of the kids don't eat pizza at all.
I just had a party at my house last week and just did pizza & salad + fruit platter. Had 9 adults, 3 older kids and 2 younger kids (2 & 7). I got 4 pies - 2 plain, 1 pepperoni & 1 pepperoni + sausage. I had 8 slices left over (5 plain & 3 pepperoni). That's it.
