Stomach virus- has made its way in our home
DD started throwing up last night at 10pm. This is the first time in 4 years she has thrown up.
Diarrhea has started too. How long is this lasting?

THat was us last week.. took a good week to get it out of DD's system. Please make sure you keep her hydrated.

Stomach virus- has made its way in our home
We had this virus back in January and it lasted us 2 days of vomiting and almost a week of diarreah. the dr said if the kids weren;t keeping anythign down, start slow. Give a tablespoon of pedialyte every 5 minutes for an hour. If they keep it down, add another tablespoon. Then slowly try water. If they throw up though, you have to start over. It was so heartbreaking because the twins were so thirsty they were begging us for more inbetween throwing up and we could not give them more until it was time. They were throwing up uncontrollably though for hours, even when they had nothing in their systems to throw up. Not sure how bad your DD is but maybe try giving some pedialyte every few minutes until she can hold it down. It'll help her stay hydrated.

My son had it from Thursday night to sunday but he didn't go back to his normal self till about wednesday.
We too him to the ER on Saturday night because he was so dehydrated please watch for that.

Usually 24 hours, but one time it lasted much longer than that for my dd and she had to be hospitalized for dehydration.

Thanks guys. Yeah I I was very concerned she was going to dehydrate. I did aggressive oral hydration at home to try and keep her out of the hospital. I did the 1 oz od pedilayte every 5 minutes. But she hated it...and threw up everytime. But thank god she finally kept down aple juice and stopped throwing up last night. Today shes pale but started asking for food so I started very bland. This was really terrible.

My DD got it on Tuesday, she spiked a temp and vomited like 4x , the next day she had a couple episodes of diarrhea. Was back to herself after 24hrs then today she vomited again..ugh!!!

Omg that was exactly how it was for my DD except for the last part. Hope it doesn't come back
