I'm not even going to look at what random asshats with internet balls have to say about it; that's akin to reading the comments below every news article, really, which makes my blood boil!
I'm focusing on the positive here - it's about time a pro athlete came out! I think it's great and hopefully his courage (I hate that one has to have COURAGE to announce their orientation, but anyway..) will pave the way for other athletes to do the same.

I disagree with that article having #s 13 & 14 listed. Neither of those posts bash him for being gay. They think he sucks as a player, but they're not hateful in a sense of his sexuality. Those two tweets are pretty commonplace when it comes to fans bashing players from other teams.

Agreed!

It's a sad day when grown men and women have to have courage to disclose such information.

Hell, I think it's ridiculous that this information has to be disclosed at ALL. What the hell difference does it make? I don't care who he likes, I care about how he plays basketball.
