Ladies with Families in Israel - any updates?
Spoke to my mom and my dad tonight - mom spoke to close friends who live on a kibbutz near the border - they've pretty much all left their houses and are in safe rooms on the kibbutz.
My family in Rishon LeZion (city near Tel Aviv) is staying put and fine.
My dad's cousin who lives in Haifa left and went further south.
My dad reminded me that my parent's honeymoon had been in Nahariya. I love it there. It's so heartbreaking that this is all going on.

My two little sisters are there for the summer and they have been moved south to Elait. My MIL's cousins live about an hour south of Haifa, they are staying put and are safe for the time being. One of their daughters was supposed to go to camp in the Golan Heights, but that has obviously been canceled. She sends the family updates everyother day via email.

My mom and I called all our relatives on sunday. They are near Tel aviv and everything was fine there.

IMO, the GH should be made into a buffer zone, nothing more!

My BIL and MIL are just fine, sitting tight in Tel Aviv, though disappointed that we probably won't be making our trip with the baby in October, as planned. I'm more worried about my cousins who live on a kibbutz right next to the Gaza strip. I suspect the palestinians are going to take this opportunity while Israel is preoccupied with Lebanon to act up in the Gaza area. My mother spoke to my cousins this week and apparently they are terrified. They can't and won't leave the gated community and are very scared to wander too far into the fields...

My aunt spoke to my cousin yesterday and he's ok. He'll be there until the August 5th or 6th.
