Every now and then, when I'm pulling on the strap it's getting stuck in the back if the seat... It won't pull any farther and there is a lot of room left over my sons shoulders. I found that when this happens, I have to stick my hand behind the seat and pull a the metal clip in the back to fix the issue. This should not be happening.
When I brought my car to the place on 109 at the Hassel auto body shop to make sure my seat was in tight enough, the certified tech, told me she's heard of other people mentioning this issue to her too.

I checked on the manufacture site and their are no recalls for this problem. Has anyone else called them to see what is up with this problem?

I've had this happen on numerous seats I've worked with. It's the splitter plate getting stuck. I've had it happen on Graco, Britax, Evenflo, Diono.... It is most common when RF for whatever reason. That said, I have had it happen more often on Britax seats. It's a PITA but its not a recall issue. I have it happen in my own seats, and I have found that if I didn't loosen the straps as much it isn't as much of an issue. I haven't had the issue on the same seats FF.

Humm, good to know I just switched my girls into their britax advocate G3 seats this weekend. I had a really hard time getting them in my truck and couldn't use them rear facing. I had to wait until my girls outgrew their infant seats so I could keep them rear facing as long as possible. Such a pain in the a**.
