4 1/2 month old feeding/sleeping schedules?

I was just wondering what your 4 and 1/2 month old's feeding and sleeping schedules are.
I was trying to CIO with my DD but my issue is that she gets a bottle at 6:00 PM and another at 10:00 PM. So I put her to bed at 8:00 and she cries for and hour and then only sleeps for 30 mins before she's up again. It doesn't make sense to let her CIO when she eats in 30 mins so we pick her up making the whole exercise useless.

Any tips?

I changed DDs schedule at about 4 months so I was giving her her last and biggest bottle of the day at 8pm. She's recently been sleeping from 6hrs to even 9/10 hours. She'll be 5 months on Thursday. My only advice is to try and change her last bottle to 8pm or part of her "bedtime routine"

4 1/2 month old feeding/sleeping schedules?

Dd is 4.5 months. Typical schedule is this
8 am 5 oz bottle
10 am cereal/fruit
11 am 5 oz. bottle
2 pm 5 oz bottle
5pm 5 oz bottle and cereal /fruit
8 pm last bottle I try to get her to eat a little more. Doesn't alway work so sometimes will dream feed around 1030 ESP if her intake is poor that day.
She typically naps in the am around 9-10
Then 3 more naps early afternoon mid after noon and evening
She does not sttn
Usually will wake up but only give her the paci. Very rarely she will give me a whole night!

Thank you.

We started on cereal but it seems to upset DD's stomach. She has always had gas issues but the cereal seems to make it so much worse. I was going to wait a few weeks and try again.
She does mosty sttn....unless we try to put her in the crib. She is getting too big for the rnp so I have to do something soon.

Do you wake her for the 10pm feeding? At that age I would never wake for feeding unless there is a weight issue. I would do CIO at bedtime if needed and let her go. They start to be able to last longer without food so she might make it til morning.

At 4 months we had nights where DS would go down at 9 and STTN. Not regularly but I knew he could go without a bottle.

My DD is 4 mos (+1 week). She is EBF and we haven't introduced solids yet. This is her typical schedule.

Wake between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. (she is pretty inconsistent with her wake up times, but if she wakes up before 6:30, she will go back down and sleep until 7:00 or so).

Eat 2x before 9:30/10:00 a.m. then nap for ~3 hours.

Eat again 1:00/2:00 p.m.

Eat again 4:00/5:00 p.m. (naps while nursing)

Eat again 6:00/7:00 p.m.

Last feeding around 8/8:30, sleeping in her crib by 9/9:30.

Personally, I wouldn't do CIO at this age. It's really not recommended till at least 6 mos old, but of course, to each his own.

DS is 4 months old ... we follow his schedule during the day but always do the EASY schedule (Eat -> Activity -> Sleep -> Your Personal Time). He doesn't have a set schedule at all during the day.

At 7:30pm, he starts his sleep routine (if he's asleep, we wake him up for this) which entails Bath, Bottle (usually the same amount as usual), Book and Bed. He's in bed by around 8:30 usually and sleeps through the night most days. He usually wakes up between 6-7am.

Can you move the 10pm bottle closer to 9? My DD is the same age, so I know I try to stretch her feedings closer to 4 hours apart now too, but I'll do the 3 hour minimum for her last 2 bottles if it means getting her to bed earlier.

Re: 4 1/2 month old feeding/sleeping schedules?

at that age this was her schedule

awake between 6am-630pm
nurse for 15-20mins
9:30am - 6.5 oz bm
1230pm - 6.5 oz bm
330pm - 6.5 oz bm

These feedings would change based on when she went down for a nap which her DC does not have a set time for. If she's tired she sleeps.

She would nap twice which could be for an hour or two. sometimes she would take three naps but that one would be for 30mins

She gets home between 630-64pm
I would nurse her. After DH and I dinner we would play. Depending on the day at around 745pm it's bath time.
At 8pm I read and nurse her. She would fall asleep 15-20mins later. Most of time she would STTN.

Re: 4 1/2 month old feeding/sleeping schedules?

DD will be 5 mos on the 28th.

Wakes ~7am 6oz bottle
Nap ~8:30 to 9:30-10 6ozz bottle
Nap ~12 to 1-1:30 6oz bottle
Nap ~3-3:30 to 4:30-5 6oz bottle
To Bed ~6:30-7

This is a rough schedule and varies slightly day to day. We started sleep training/CIO about 2-3 wks ago and this is the schedule that is starting to form.

MOST nights she sleeps straight thru- we've cut out all nighttime bottles, unless absolutely necessary (she wakes and doesn't go back to sleep - this happened 2x in the past 2-3 wks)

NOTE: she is formula fed, no cereal yet and she is a big girl (~18lbs)

Thanks for your responses. I'll try moving her last bottle up and see if that does the trick.
I am not a fan of CIO but it seems that to start her in the crib any other way only teaches her something I will have to correct within another month or two.

Re: 4 1/2 month old feeding/sleeping schedules?

Ok I have a thought, I would stretch bedtime to 8:15-8:30 and feed her again right before bed. Then let her cry 5-10 min and go in to comfort her if needed. Once asleep see how long she will make it. This is what I do with DD and she sleeps till 5-6am...lately she is stretching to 7-8am!!!! She is 4 months and 1 week.

During the day she eats every 3 hours and naps about 60 min. Sometimes I get 2 hours out if her!
