I couldn't believe it! I was crying like a baby & It took me a good 5 minutes to pick my jaw up off the floor.
This new story arch is going to be interesting with Cora's anger at Lord Grantham.

I want to punch Lady Mary in the face! Edith needs her big sister, couldn't Mary lie when Edith asked her if their relationship would be better going forward?!?! I couldn't believe Mary's response was "probably not"

I did think Mary had one very funny line: "she was the only person alive who thought either you or I was a good person" (or something like it -- and lord knows I needed that levity at the time. )
I was a disaster mess, and I usually hold it together pretty well with TV shows, but first with Cora ... and then Tom... and then THOMAS. Oy, he and Anna together totally did me in. Done for. I can't deal. I haven't been able to get it out of my head all day.

I was bawling my eyes out when she gave her son away to his grandparents. My stomach hurt when he got in the car and waved goodbye from the back window.
Now, is that son of Lord Grantham's, or did they just only get to first base in the parlor last season?

Ahhhhhh...I'm still so shocked by this whole thing. I was bawling throughout the whole end of the show. Oh, Cora... Agreed on Mary's "doubt it" comment and Maggie Smith's performance.
Irishbride, last year I watched season 1 on PBS online. Is that a possibility?

Yes, with her giving away her son...so sad!
I forgot all about that Lord Grantham thing. I didn't think they actually slept together, but I could be mistaken.

The past 2 episodes have been so sad!!!
I cried hysterically when she gave the baby away and this episode when Sybill died.
(DH is sad because he thought Sybill was the prettiest on the show LOL).
Have to admit that Mary annoys me to no end but I love Maggie Smith!!!

I knew it was coming, but I was destroyed. I NEVER cry at movies or TV and I sat in the couch and cried my eyes out. Maggie Smith wrecked me. Sybil choking as everyone helplessly looked on... Thomas and Anna.... Ugh, I'm still emotional!!
And for the poster that asked, they rerun the previous week's episode at 8 before the current one airs at 9.

Ethel's not the same maid that was fooling around with Lord Grantham. That was a brown haired girl. I was hoping that Ethel was gone. I'm sick of that storyline and Chaaalie.

I just watched! I knew it was coming at some point because I was on wikipedia looking up info on the cast & characters and I saw something about Branson being a widower. Ugh what a tearjerking death. I wanted to punch that Sir Philip jerk and Lord Grantham for not listening to Dr. Clarkson. The whole staff's reactions were tearjerking too.
And what a bltch Mary is to Edith lol.

OMG..me too and I was watching at work on my lunch!!! I was out right bawling, my cubicle neighbor asked if I was ok...lol
I want her to get him back, she has a job now. She doesn't have to whore herself out anymore to feed him.
I love this show...
