EW Cover- Hunger Games: Catching Fire
Very excited but not sure how I feel about Finnick. I just pictured him differently than this but we will have to see how it comes out.

I pictured him much older. I always thought of Matthew Mcconaughey when reading the books

I think in the book he IS older but they are probably trying to stay within the tween/teen target demo.
Either way YES PLEASE THANK YOU!

Re: EW Cover- Hunger Games: Catching Fire
He's mid 20s in the book, I believe. It's been awhile since I read them, but I think he was 15 or 16 when he was in the games and Catching Fire takes place about a decade later. McConaughey is too old for him IMO. I pictured him a little bit beefier but this guy reminds me of David Tennant (Doctor Who) so I approve.

ITA. I though he would be more attractive. I can not stand the fake blond hair. I'm disappointed because when I read the books I pictured him much better looking- the actor in this pic is average looking at best.

This!
I totally pictured him or for some strange reason Ryan Reynolds.

Agreed, Finnick was supposed to be much, much hotter than this. I feel the same way about him as I do about Peeta, such a miss, casting-wise!

Agree! I pictured Finnickin his 20s and really hot. This guy looks like a little boy. Not great looking. Maybe it's a bad picture. I was so dissapointed with Peeta. I pictured him much taller and bulkier then the guy they picked.
