Nashville with kids??
So we are starting to think about our summer vacation. Last year we went to Ogonquit, ME and had an awesome week. We were considering going back this coming August. My cousin lives in Nashville, her DH was relocated there 8 months ago. She is due with her first child in July, and she would like us to come see them this summer. DS # 1 will be 2 and DS # 2 will be 4 months. We would drive, stay overnight at the halfway point. My question is, is there anything to even do in that area with kids? Nice hotels? We wouldn't stay with my cousin, there are 4 of us and she will have her hands full with a 2-3 week old baby at that point. But I don't want us to be bored. Anyone ever been? TIA!

Nashville with kids??
I'm from Nashville originally. There's the OprylandHotel which is big and nice, but ts far away from downtown. There's the Cumberland Science Center which I used to love as a kid. Near the OprylandHotel Is Opry Mills, which is one of those huge super malls w Dave and Buster, Rainforest Cafe and shopping. There's also some pretty large lakes and I think you can rent boats.
For adults it's super fun going to the redneck honky tonk bars. Not somewhere to take the kids though.
Something you may want to onsider is doing part of the time in Nashville and part of the time in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. It's about 3 hours away east of Nashville but has Dollywood, Splash Country, all sorts of mini golf/ bumper boats etc. it's a complete red neck paradise. There's also the national park there.
I lived there 25 years, so if you have any questions feel free to FM me!

I answered on your other post but I completely agree with all the above suggestions.

We lived in the Hillwood area. But I went to University school for K-3. I was going to start harding academy in the fall but we moved back to NY. I actually loved living there and would love to go back. It has changed a lot though.

It's south and not far at all. Lots of people live in Franklin and drive to Nashvilke for work. I'd say about 20-30 minutes to downtown. The Opryland stuff is northeast of Nashville, so probably about 40 minutes from Franklin.
