Help Me. Yeast Creams like nystatin
DD had a diaper rash, very mild, about two months ago and the doctor prescribed Ciclopirox and told me it needs to go all over- every crease and specifically emphasized that I had to get it in her vagina.
2 weeks ago DD got a severe diaper rash that wasn't going away. So the doctor prescribe Nystatin instead and said it's like the other cream- apply 3 times a day. Fine. So I did this for about two days and then before shredding the info that comes with the cream, I read it and it says "do not apply this medication in the vagina".
 
Now I am worried. Does anyone know what this does or what I should do about it now? and from now on... do I just put it on the outside/lips but avoid getting it inside... or something else?
HELP! I feel terrible

I only have experience with Nystatin and was told it's for the external area only like diaper cream. I can't imagine you've done harm putting it "up there" but I wouldn't continue.

I think it means don't apply into the vagina like in the way you would squeeze monistat all the way up there. I think you are fine.
