How long did it take your periods to become regular after stopping breastfeeding? (For TTC purposes)

I breastfed my DS for 12 months and did not get my first period since having him until 2 weeks after stopping. We wanted to start TTC #2 this month, but I am now a week late on my period. I know this is only the second one since I stopped breastfeeding, and was wondering how long it took your periods to become regular. I am not pregnant as we have used protection. I have the normal cramps I would have as if I had my period...but still nothing! I know I've read that you can still become pregnant even though you have no period, but we wanted to try and time things, etc. Thanks so much!!

Doubt this will help you...but I stopped nursing DD1 at 9 months. Got my period 2 weeks later and it was like clockwork until I conceived her sister 6 months later.

I'm currently nursing DD2 (7 months) and I'm very crampy and bloated but still no period. (Very unlikely I'm pg as we use LOTS of protection and well...I already took a test lol).

Mine came back while I was still BFing (don't remember exactly when), but as soon as they came back they were totally regular.

Mine came back while stiff bf. It came 4 months pp. Im 10 months pp and it has been regular since it returned.

Stopped at 4 months.
Got my period at 6 months.
Got pregnant at 7 months.
Didn't quite expect THAT!
