Go see SHrek. My neighbor took there 3yr old this past weekend

Just enjoy it yourself. Your 4 year old will have fun too. We go into Manhattan every month or so. There is SO much to do... you can't do it all in one trip. Try picking 2 "must dos" (I guess Rockefeller center and whatever else). Then go from there.

Go to top of the rock or empire state building. The view is amazing.

Go to eat brunch at a restaurant. get a view of the street and watch all the people going by.

Go see the windows, go inside some of the shops along Madison.

Go get a hot chocolate... maybe get a pretzel from a cart.

Go to central park. Go to the zoo... or just walk around. Go to see the "lake". Bring a camera and pose for LOTS of pictures.

Go to toys r us. Go to Times square. Just all the lights/big buildings will dazzle. Walk a few blocks, go inside some more stores.

Big apple circus is in town. Discount tickets can be found for as low as $15. The show is great! All the seats really are good. Buy some popcorn there.

Thanks so much everyone! I think we're going to stick with the typical christmas time stuff (the tree, macy's, etc). DS can't wait to go on the train!
