Tiny Prints
Planning on getting photo birth announcements from Tiny Prints. Square card with name in script overlaying the photo. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether matte or glossy looks better from Tiny Prints? I was thinking matte but recently rcvd a Christmas card that just looked dull. Thoughts? Or any other companies you'd recommend? Thank you!

Re: Tiny Prints
Ive used tiny prints for years and I've gotten both. I think it depends on the card its hard to say. I always like my Christmas cards glossy but, my DD's birth announcement looked amazing matte! I think with birth announcements depending on the colors I usually prefer the matte.

I've ordered from Tiny Prints a few times and always gotten matte. I just love the way it looks.

Tiny prints and mpix are the highest rated among photographers. Order a sample before you order a whole bunch

Re: Tiny Prints
I got the matte. I've always recommended tinyprints to clients but had issues when I used them for myself. Their printing was way off and I needed 3 reprints. It's still not 100% because the skintones are off on my one side (3fold card) but its not something a non photographer will notice. I definitely recommend mpix over tinyprints.

Re: Tiny Prints
I used them for my birth announcements and chose the matte card stock. I loved the way it came out. I'm not a fan of the glossy prints, but that's just me.
Just one thing to point out. If you do a square card, make sure you choose the envelope that is long so you are not stuck paying more money to mail them. Square envelopes have to be manually handled at the post office and the postage is more. TIny prints gives you the option to chose another style envelope that allows you to use the standard postage.
