Dave Hester - "Storage Wars is Fake!" now suing

Former "Storage Wars" star Dave Hester is suing A&E and alleging that significant aspects of hit reality show are fake, Deadline reports.
According to the lawsuit obtained by Deadline, Hester claims that "Storage Wars" producers plant expensive items -- such as a BMW, or a newspaper announcing Elvis' death -- in storage lockers that its stars are supposed to be blindly bidding on.
“['Storage Wars'] regularly 'salts' the storage lockers that are the subject of the auctions portrayed on the Series with valuable or unusual items to add dramatic effect, even going so far as to stage entire storage units,"
Hester claims that he was fired from the show for complaining about the shady practice, and is seeking $3.5 million in damages.
Dan Dotson, a representative of the show's auction company, refuted the allegations to TMZ, claiming that all storage units featured on the show are sealed before auction and are therefore not susceptible to tampering. "We only sell legitimate units on Storage Wars. Every unit goes through a 64-day legal process and no one has access to units prior to auction,” Dotson said.

I know this may be silly but I am hoping it isn't true. LOL I really like that show and shows like it. I get a kick out of what they find!
I will NOT miss Mr. "YUUUUUUUUUUP" though!

I don't believe a single "reality" show is 100% real. Even if there is a genuine moment, they probably stage it multiple times to make sure they've captured it at all angles.

Im getting sick of this show anyway... All the other storage shows make reasonable bids, only this show are people bidding to insane dollar amounts. It is ridiculous!

All of these shows are set up and/or fake. The brother of the owner at American Restoration (but it was never mentioned that he was the brother) brought a coke machine into Pawn Stars and played it off like he was just some random customer who had this coke machine. Pawn Stars brought the Coke machine to (where else?) American Restoration to be restored. Total set-up. It's like they think we're stupid or something.
American Pickers is set up too. How could it not be!

It never occurred to me thtat these shows cOuld be fake. But I watch for entertainment, not to learn how to buy lockers
He's a big fake and needs to get over himself

He's fake. If you ever watch his segments he comes up with ridiculously high estimates for what each item will earn him. Sometimes he'll say he can get $100 for something I wouldn't pay $10 for at a yardsale. So dumb. He's obnoxious.

He's fake. If you ever watch his segments he comes up with ridiculously high estimates for what each item will earn him. Sometimes he'll say he can get $100 for something I wouldn't pay $10 for at a yardsale. So dumb. He's obnoxious.
They all do that. I watched a show tonight where they opened a POS $20 pool cue that you can get any sports store and he said "That's a good hundred right there" Yea good luck with that.
Doesn't surprise me at all that it's faked, that he got fired for being a jerk, but it's pretty lame to sue them.
