If you like your coffee light and have a Keurig?

What do you do? This is probably such a stupid question but Im thinking of getting a keurig but I like my coffee with a good amount of milk but obviously the coffee machine only brews it black. So what do you do? Add milk and then micro to warm it up again? Also, if I add milk wont I have a ton of coffee since the little k-pack brew a cup of coffee?

You'd add milk like you normally add milk to any cup of coffee. I guess you could micro it if it's not hot enough.

I use a larger size mug and it brews it about 2/3 full. Then I add my creamer or milk.

Not sure I understand. I just add milk like I do with any cup of coffee Chat Icon

lol. Like I said, probably a stupid question Chat Icon I guess my issue is that if you brew the coffee then add milk the coffee will get cold. I just wanted to know how everyone prepares their coffee with the keruig if they use milk so that it doesnt get cold. I hope that makes sense

You can change the temp of the water. Mine was way too not, so we lowered it. It's not even after adding cream to it, and I use a lot.

How do you prepare your coffee now without the Keurig? Sorry, I totally am not understanding your question. I brew with the Keurig, and then add milk. Never a problem. Just like I do when I use my regular 8-cup Mr. Coffee.

I use instant coffee. I heat the milk on the stove top then stir in the coffee

What you drink is called "cafe au lait"!!! Do you like regular brewed coffee like from DD?? If not, then don't get a Keurig.

I add my milk/cream to the cup and then brew the coffee on top. I like it light and that works for me.

My Keurig does not have a temperature setting and I always have to wait a few minutes because it's so hot, even with milk.

Ok this is good to know. I wasnt sure if it heated up the water more than the typical coffee maker. Thanks

Brew the coffee into the milk. Pour the milk into a larger mug and put that under the Keurig to brew.

I find coffee from the keurig to be about the same temperature as coffee brewed in a standard coffee maker. If you're adding that much milk that it makes your coffee cold and you like a hot cup of coffee you could continue to heat your milk like you do with instant. If I was going to microwave it I would do it before adding the milk or it will probably get a skim layer on top

Re: If you like your coffee light and have a Keurig?

Just like any other coffe machine, you add milk after. I was worried the coffee would not be hot enough, but the hottest setting is QUITE hot.

You can always control cup size with many brewers, so you can fill the cup as much or as little as you want
