name trouble...
I'm 32 weeks pregnant with and we are struggling with girls names. We already have a DD and its hard to find a name I love as much as hers. We are deciding between two names, one pretty traditional and one pretty non traditional, anyone have opinions?
1. Elizabeth Lily 2. Sloane Elizabeth
Our DD's name is non traditional (Reese Margaret).
My hesitation with the non traditional this time around is I'm not sure I love it with our last name. If you are really good with names want to message me and I'll tell you my last name and you can tell me how it goes?

Re: name trouble...
love the second one so so much- especially with Reese!
I know this is without hearing your last name but as long as they dont rhyme (sloan o'rone) it probably sounds ok! The more you say the name together (first and last) it will go together in your mind

Re: name trouble...
I like Sloane but I love Lily, What about Lily Elizabeth instead of Elizabeth Lily, it makes it a bit less traditional....and i personally think it goes better with your DD's name!!!

I've thought about this, but Lily seems to be really really popular right now and I'm trying to avoid the super popular names, even though I like them, seems silly now that I typed it out, ha.

I think Sloane goes perfectly with Reese and I love the name! That would be my hands down pick!
edit for misreading other name option first time around

Re: name trouble...
this doesn't really help you but i had a hard time choosing between the names Elizabeth & Lily for my DD's first name before she was born. Lily seemed to "little" of a name to me and Elizabeth is also my name so i thought it was weird to copy. Anyway, when she was born DH insisted she be Elizabeth but we agreed her every day nickname would be Lily and it was a compromise we agreed with. I love that she has a classic full name but a cute nickname that suits her as well. it was a little confusing when she started school but everyone knows her as Lily. i love all of your name choice however and think you can't go wrong!

Re: name trouble...
I like Sloane better for two reasons. One, I like different and not so popular names. Two, I think it sounds cooler with Reese. Elizabeth sounds so traditional that I don't think it really fits in with what you named your other DD. KWIM?
