Bedtime routine
She will get a bath then pjs then her last bottle for the night. I feed her in a semi dark room next to her room so when I carry her it doesn't disturb her. DD is 3 months.

Do you bathe every night? I want to but I'm getting some resistence from DH. I told him we would not use soap each time but it helps sooth her.

Re: Bedtime routine
I have a 3.5 yr old and 17 month old. Bed time routine has been the same for a over a year or so. Upstairs a little after 6pm, bath time, then brush teeth and read books and bed. They get a bath pretty much every night. Maybe skip on a weekend if we are out and I don't wash their hair everyday unless it's needed. Baby goes to bed around 6:45 and my 3 yr old is a little after 7. My 3 yr old no longer naps. Once I dropped the nap he was better with going to bed.

Baths have always been WAY too exciting for us to do as part of bed time. It is like being at seaworld in the splash zone of the shamu show and has been since they figured out how to splash.
How old is your LO.
my girls are 12 months and for the past 5 or 6 this is our routine.
at 7 we all snuggle on the floor and watch an episode of Baby Einstein and a bottle. Towards the end of that I change their diapers and put on PJ's and sleep sacks. at 7:30 we head upstairs for a few stories and then bed.

Bedtime routine
DD is 7 months but her routine has been the same since she moved into the crib aorund 2 months.
Bath every other night, probably less since sometimes I do baths in the morning. Then diaper change and pj's, then nurse, then DH and I bring her to her room and put her in her sleepsack. We sing her song a few times and each get some cuddles. Then she goes in the crib with her musical seahorse, smiles up at us, and out we go.
The smiling is pretty recent. For the first two months or so she would cry for a few minutes and then go to sleep. Now crying is rare, she's happy to go to sleep.

Bedtime routine
DD is 17 months. She gets a bath every other night. Bruch her teeth, put PJs on, read two books (Goodnight Moon and The Going to Bed Book), sing her three short songs as we snuggle, say goodnight to her pony (rocking horse), and then in her crib she goes. This has been her routine since about 12 months.

Bedtime routine
DS is 7 months. He is in daycare so that's partly why he gets a bath every night but I also feel like he needs a very consistent routine because he fights sleep. He has very sensitive skin and we use California Baby sensitive soap and Aquaphor all over his skin after his bath. We've never had any issue. Here's his routine:
Bath Lullabies while I put Aquaphor on him and give him a little massage PJ's Say goodnight to daddy Nurse Bed
The light fixture in his room has a dimmer on it so I slowly make it darker and darker in the room during his routine.

Re: Bedtime routine
Right now, ours is fairly simple. DS gets a bottle of BM from daddy at around 8, then we change him, swaddle, shut off the light and rock him for about 10 mins. Then put him in his crib. He is usually asleep around 8:45 and sleeps until about 6am.

Re: Bedtime routine
DD is 5.5 months. Baths are not every night, so they are not a regular part of the routine. We change her for bed, give her a bottle in her dimmly-lit room with music playing, put her in her sleep sack in the crib, read her a story, give her her paci and lovey and turn on the sleep sheep. Usually rolls over and is out, sometimes cries out once for the paci to be put back in her mouth, then goes out.

She's only 2 months. She used to get a bottle at about 7 or 8, play for awhile maybe nap, bath a few times a week. Then another bottle at 10 or 11 and basically go to sleep. We may have to rock her.
The problem is now we have to use the swing to get her to fall asleep. And lately when we try to move her it wakes her up. Last night she was in the swing awhile with the lights dim and she was quiet but wide awake. As she got drowsy we brought her up stairs but she start fussing and then crying.
I put her back in the swing and fell asleep on the couch because DH had work in the morning. But I go back to work in January, I need a good night too!
ETA I'm not trying to sleep train. But once she's down at 11p she needs a bottle about 4 and again at 7. At 7, I'm up for the day regardless of the time I went to sleep (which sometimes it wasn't until the 4am bottle!). And then she naps so well all morning long and takes a bottle roughly 3 hours.
I don't know how to get her to relax so she can fall asleep in at night time. Everything seems to encourage bedtime routines

Honestly, my DD is 9 weeks old and follows almost the exact schedule. Most people tell me that it is actually pretty good. A few nights this week she slept from about 11 straight through to 6, so I am hoping she is getting ready to drop the 3:30, 4 am feeding. Hang in there! My ped says routines become easier to establish after 3 months, and right now we're basically at their mercy.

Is there a problem with her sleeping in the swing? If she sleeps, or even is contently quiet and safe in the swing, why can't you sleep. I guess I'm confused...
If she is not going to sleep after her 11 feeding, then try to keep her up before it. Give her a serious play time before it so she stays awake. What are you doing with her while she is awake at night? Are you holding her, talking to her etc? If so I would break all communication. I kept all interaction to the barest minimum at night so they understood that it was not play time.

Re: Bedtime routine
I thought the baby shouldn't sleep in the swing. The only problem with it for us is the swing is downstairs and is quite bulky to carry upstairs. I tried rocking her in the rnp but didn't work. I think it was the music that helped so we are going to try a soother.
We probably interact with DD more than we should to be completely honest.

Not that this is the answer, but my twins slept in their car seat swings for a long time. It worked for us. As long as we were all sleeping we were happy. Somewhere around 6 or 7 months adjusted age we moved them to their cribs. We did this when they were dropping their 11 pm feeding and that is when we started the bed time routine that I posted before.
oh and white noise is still our best friend!
When we were doing the night time feedings we made a point to keep it as dark as possible for the diaper change, feeding and literally did not talk to them or to each other at all. No matter how cute they were, or how pissed off we were at each other for whatever reason lol (those first few months are rough on everyone) your daughter will get it, dont worry about it. I know it is easier said then done. Just stay consistent

Definitely try to avoid any interaction. With nursing, it's pretty easy to grab and feed DD without any lights on. I don't change her unless she's poopy, don't talk, don't make eye contact. There are nights where she is up so much and I still get up in the morning missing her face bc I don't see it all night! DD never slept in the swing or RNP at night but if that's what works then I would go for it. Keep trying to put her down where you really want her to be but if it doesn't work, do what does.

Bedtime routine
Bath every other night Lotion PJ's Story Bottle (fed in her room/lights dim) Bed (music and sleep sak)
She is 6M and sleeps from 6:30-5 but has been waking up the last week or 2 at 2 but then goes back down.
I slept downstairs on my couch many nights bc she preferred the swing for sleep. Maybe shes just not ready for the crib yet?

Re: Bedtime routine
We really don't have a routine at 7 weeks. It fluctuates a few hrs. But last night I fed them at 6/6:30 and bathed them and put them in their swings. I had to wake them at 11 to feed them. They never go 4 hrs this early so I think it was the bath. They normally stay up and play or witch a bit after the 6 ish feeding. They do normally go 5 hrs without eating wether it's after a 10, 11 or 12 feeding.
Try keeping her up after her previous feeding but done have any interaction after the feeding when you want to go to sleep. I'll keep my girls up for a bit talking, boppy, crib toys, swing with mobile with lights on, activity mat,etc so they are tired at the next feeding. I'm thinking of doing baths late every night so they sleep longer but I w t wash their hair every night.

Don't mean to hijack, but did u sleep train??? 7 month DD is still in bassinet but verge of bein too big, tried crib 2 nights about a month ago but gave up. The crib is quickly approaching & I'm dreading it. DD has that musical seahorse too & loves it lol

I'm just starting to look into sleep training now for when she wakes during the night. I'm always amazed to read about LOs in the bassinet for so long! DD was kicking her legs over the side of the cosleeper at 6 weeks. I started with naps in the crib around then.
I would let her do her first nap in the swing like normal so I didn't set us up for a bad day if it didn't go well. For her second nap, I would put her in the crib sleepy and rub her tummy. I actually would stay in her room and fold laundry or bring my laptop and go online. If she started to fuss I would talk quietly and rub her tummy more and she would usually doze off. Eventually I started to just put her down with the seahorse, tell her I love her, and walk out. She would cry a little and then go to sleep (not every time but often). Next I started moving her after she woke and nursed during the night so she could sleep in the crib the rest of the night (she's so noisy in the morning). Then we started putting her down in there from the beginning of the night. All in all it took a few weeks to get her fully transitioned for all naps and at night, but she was much younger which may have helped. Once she found her thumb around 3 months it also made things easier. Now if only I could get her to STTN!
