We r going to Disney next week... We don't plan on staying out too late but there are at least 2 nights where we will be at the parks past DD's bedtime. How do I handle this? Let her fall asleep in stroller? What about getting her dressed for bed- she doesn't wear normal pj's; she wears a long sleeve onesie & a fleece sleep sack so it's not really like I can put her in pjs in stroller. I'd have to change her one we got back to room anyway.

Any btdt advice on this? TIAChat Icon

i wouldn't worry too much.there is so much to do and so much going on i say just go with it..let her fall asleep in the stroller and when you get back to your room get her ready for bed and put her down. my kids were so tired it didn't matter if they were out fell asleep, came back and put asleep again. they were just done by the end of the day. we just stayed out as long as they didn't melt down and did bedtime routine of changing or bath and they went to sleep as normal.
just have a great time! it is so amazing there!

Re: BTDT Disney

We were there last week.

Just see how things go.
We had all of these plans to see parades and fireworks. The kids were too exhausted and we never made it.

At night, we usually had a 5pm dinner reservation. We'd put the kids in warm clothes and bring blankets for them. Some nights they just slept in their clothes; other nights we changed them into pjs. Maybe you could try pj's and see how it goes?

Have fun!

When we're on vacation, all schedules and routines pretty much go out the window. We have kept DD and DS up past their bedtimes when we're at Disney. We want to make the most of our time there. They usually fall asleep in the stroller on the way back to the hotel. As for the PJS they are usually so exhausted from all the fun that they sleep through any pj change.

We would let DS fall asleep in his stroller for naps and he would stay up past his bedtime at night and usually pass out in our arms on the bus. Sometimes he managed to stay awake on the bus ride too. Either way, theres a lot of movement going on between the park to the bust to the bus stop to the hotel room so by the time we got back to the room he was rousable and we would change him then and pop him in his pack n play. You kinda just have to go with the flow!

Not sure how old your child is, but bedtime did not occur in disney and it was not my choice! Chat Icon even my baby wouldn't sleep and he's like Sleepy the dwarf.
