HOMELAND: SPOILERS
Where the hell did Nasir go so fast after he let Carrie go?
Is anyone else thinking Estes knows more than he is letting on too? i feel like he is shady and trying to cover something up, or is playing both sides also. Maybe thats why they alsmost killed Brody last week.

Yes, I hate Estes. Even last season when they were trying to make it seem like Saul was connected with the terrorists, I didn't think he was.
It drives me nuts how they make Brody's son seem like a dope "Look, there are big screens in every room!" and his daughter (who is not much older) a genius who is on the cusp of figuring out he's a terrorist.

YES! I have been saying Estes seems shady since last season and everyone thinks I am nuts!
He definitely SEEMS shady but honestly I think it's a diversion - like, there is someone else who is the leak/mole and they want us to think it's Estes.
This just came to me but the guy who got hurt and came back last night when he 'heard' what happened to Carrie? (Can't remember his name). I said to DH - "oh he has a thing for her" but now I'm like hm....he's so unassuming maybe there is more to it??

I agree I think it's the guy that was hurt is the leak. Why even give him any air time if he wasn't connected somehow. Estes and the other undercover ops guy I think want to kill Brody because they are trying to cover up that drone kill and they are afraid Brody will go public with that once he is done with the terrorist help. I'm hoping they aren't going after Carrie now too. I really think they are going to kill Brody off and then then start with another "threat" next season.

i thought it could be that guy also that came in to help but then i thought maybe that is too obvious? could it possibly be saul??? i can't wait to find out why they pulled him out. i was disappointed when brody killed the VP - i didn't think he would do it. i find the daughter annoying, i'm tired of the hit and run storyline - it must have more significance than they are showing. the whole conversation carrie had with nasir was eerie...i guess bc some of these things arent so far from the truth! i am so sad there are only two episodes left, i LOVE this show!!!

Very true. This show always shocks me and that's the only reason I keep doubting myself about Estes. I just don't think that they are going to make it that easy for us to pinpoint the leak. I was suspicious about Saul too last season but I just don't know. And as a pp said, there has to be a reason that Estes brought in the other guy to run the show, if he wasn't part of a bigger picture, why even bring him into the show? But then again, I always suspect Virgil too...

Ok I'm confused. Why does everyone think there is a leak? What was leaked exactly?
The only thing I remember was that Nasir was warned about them, but that was Brody.
It's been obvious to me that there's no love lost between Estes and Saul, Saul is just too ballsy and says whats on his mind. He hasn't been quiet about his feelings about the drone attack coverup, and now he's outed "Quinn" or whoever he is. Makes sense that Estes wants to protect himself and the VP, and doesn't trust Saul.

well obviously estes and quinn are hiding something.
and someone def tipped nazir off which is why he left the place he had carrie tied up.
i do not think galvez is in on any of it. although estes did ask him to look into carrie earlier.
and i just dont know how you can think saul is part of any conspiracy????? he is trying to figure out the conspiracy!

I'm CONVINCED that "friend" is the leak. Like convinced. He was also the diversion for when Brody got those coordinates out of Estes' office!!

I have been saying to DH, SO much last night (when we watched) that they make the son a complete moron.
Estes is definitely creepy.
I guess I shouldn't have been, but I was surprised that Brody let the VP die so blatantly. I thought he'd call 911 and at least look like he tried, not stand there and take joy in him dying. I guess they did that to solidify why Brody was doing Nazir's bidding

I think he left bc he knew they would come for him. Carrie is CIA. of course she is going to find a way immediately to get in touch with someone to come get him. I dont think there was any tips. just my opinion

In the previews Carrie says to someone (Quinn?) something to the effect of "they have been one step ahead of us this whole time....we have a leak somewhere." I think that's why many of us are discussing the leak possibility.

They did reveal (kind of) that Quinn and Estes are covering their butts on the drone strike. But I still think it is more than that. Just not sure what.
I constantly think about where this show can go next. I really think it would be so weird without Brody as a main character. But I got this idea in my head that maybe one direction they can go with the show is to take us back to 9/11 (although that would be really risky), or they could take us back to when Carrie was in Baghdad and introduce her interpretor as a character (he was killed) and even show her affair with Estes.

I agree with the above. It's a diversion.
Estes fancies himself a patriotic American. His MO is to defend America however possible even when it's ethically questionable (the murder of Brody) or morally reprehensible (the drone strike.) I think he's exactly who he appears to be. The "shadiness" comes from what the writers want us to think - the "diversion" - but also the fact that he IS slimy, in real character.
I think the kids are acting well, and exactly as they should be. Sure they're annoying - that's the age. Plus they've been through a lot which often makes kids needier. The kids are needed for a few reasons but mostly because they are Brody's primary motivation for doing what is right; they bring out the Brody that we want to like (think when Brody wanted to bring Dana to face the music on the hit and run and most of all, when Brody heard Dana's voice and couldn't pull the trigger.) Plus I think Dana's savvy is an interesting and ironic counterbalance to what is going on with the adults - they're all double crossing each other but the sixteen year old is onto what is really going on.
I am also not convinced there is a mole because every time there was a leak I thought I remembered there being an explanation for it. I could be wrong, though. My brain is full and I don't always recall every fact. I am sure there are many layers they are hiding from us but I am not sure they are in the form of a "mole."

I agree with all this. When Dana started annoying me, I thought... she IS a teenager after all. Although the scowling gap-mouthed face of her is getting to me a little, I'm not sure it's all because she's not a good actress.

Thank you for addressing that. I've been looking elsewhere for answers to this and the only thing that has been "unexplained" was how the razor blade got into the interrogation room. I think everyone assumes that was Brody though because he proved he could thwart the lie detector test afterwards.
Brody is the "mole" in most of the things the CIA is wondering about (how Nazir got warned the first time they did an ambush, Gettysburg) and they don't know everything yet. And probably won't, the way Brody and Carrie are going!

Quinn is a SEAL, my guess is Estes has him on that task force to kill Brody as soon as they have Nazir (the gun when he got in the limo, when they thought they had Nazir)
he is too risky to keep alive after they get nazir.
although i would hate to see it happen. but i think Dana will play a more important role after
