first sono today
I had my first sono today at 5 1/2 weeks because of previous miscarriages. My doctor's office is no longer using Madonna and had a new sono tech. I was totally freaked out b/c she didn't say one word to me. When she was finished taking the pictures she had me wait to see the dr. The nurse called me in to see the dr. and asked if I was surprised. I responded with no and paused thinking wow that's an odd question. She realized my response was odd and said wait you aren't surprised you are having twins. The nurse almost had to take me off the floor. She was like huh the sono tech didn't mention this to you. UHHHHH NO!!!!!
ok so now I'm in total shock and typing this long rant LOL
how did this happen???? I cried the whole way home partly b/c I feel bad for my LO whose entire world is about to be turned around. Also for the worry that comes along with having TWO babies.
I didn't see the dr. today just had blood drawn. Going in for a follow up sono next Thursday. I guess they will give me the overview of TWINS then b/c I am absolutely clueless at this point.

WOW! How exciting!! Congratulations! I can imagine that this must have been a bit overwhelming to say the least! But it's a true blessing! Best of luck to you and your growing family!

Thanks everyone. Feeling really overwhelmed right now. I have a friend from my mommy group that is also due with twins so it is nice to have someone to go through this with.

I truly understand why you feel overwhelmed! But this is a GOOD thing! Give yourself some time to get used to the idea! Congratulations!!!!!
