please help re: 11 month old and sleeping
We just started putting my 11 month old in his crib. He had been sleeping with us., in our bed. It has been almost a wekk and it is not getting any easier for him. He cries and cries. He is exhausted but will not go to sleep or rest, unless we stand over him. He falls asleep so i leave the room, instantly he wakes up and screams. Once he finally does fall asleep, he wakes upabout 4 or 5 times a night. And the routine begins. Please give me advice, tips, reassurance this will get better, etc. I am in need of a good nights sleep.

You may need to do Ferber or CIO. Just doing Ferber now w our 17 month old because we got into bad habits over the past year and he's been waking so much. Two nights and a dramatic difference. Be consistent.

Good luck! At 10 months... I have started to bring my kid who used to sleep in her crib into my bed to fall asleep. The separation thing really hits them at that age. Gets better in a few months (at least did with DS).
