Need help planning DS 1st birthday party
DS will be one in January. We are supposed to be closing on a house next week that needs about a month worth or work done before we move in. I have had to use my parents house for parties up until now because our apartment didn't have the space. Originally, my plan was to throw DS a small 1st birthday party with close family and friends. His Christening was 100+ at a restaurant. Did anyone regret having a small first birthday party at their home? It will be winter and our house is small so I worry about 30 people. Also, is it better do an afternoon party starting around 1pm or do something later in the day around 4pm? I am a picture fanatic and already gave up his 1st birthday and Christmas photos because we could use the extra $ for the house..TIA.

I say the timing should be all about your son. If he naps early, than have a later party. This way he rests and you get to preapre while he is sleeping. Happy Baby=Happy pictures.
If in the house is what you can do, that there is nothing to regret.
I have a small apartment and I struggle with the fact that i cannot have it at home.
Sometimes the kids enjoy the smaller group and will be less overwhelmed.
